Museum „From Cloister to Village“

The museum "From Cloister to Village" exists since 1990 and is situated on the "Nonnenempore". It focuses on the development from the beginning of the cloister up to present, showing a typical agriculturally dominated village. It also tries to show the "ups" and "downs" of the village which only in 1791 achieved its independence, and also tries to put a light on the people behind the important historical facts. It also clearly shows the tensions between the history of the village on the one hand and on the other of the Frauental people as subjects to the crown and as free citizens. The main point this museum shows, is the fact that only through the downfall of the cloister did people settle there and found a village.

The museum is designed as a round tour and in chronological order.
